Born to musical parents, Madhumita Chatterjee and Mihir Chatterjee, Anol is one of the most popular and respected vocalists from India. He has been fortunate to be a prime disciple of Guru Padmabhushan Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. He has received musical training from Sri Vishwanath Chowdhury, Late Sri Ajit Chakrabarty, Smt. Chandana Chakrabarty and Sri Shantanu Bhattacharyya as well

 

Anol is a graduate in English Literature and a First Class First in Hindustani Vocal Music from Rabindra Bharati University.

 

Anol Chatterjee is an A Grade artiste of All India Radio and Television. He has been awarded the prestigious Aditya Birla Kala Kiran Puraskar, Shrutinandan Puraskar, Yuva Prativa Samman and many more. He is a National Scholarship Recipient from the Government of India, an empaneled artiste of ICCR, an ex Scholar of  ITC Sangeet Research Academy, He is an honourable examiner of  Vishwa Bharati University and Rabindra Bharati University. He has been an honourable member of West Bengal Sate Music Academy's audition board. Anol has been an associate member of SANDHI, a project on Indian Culture and Heritage by IIT Kharagpur.

He has performed in many prestigious concerts like, ITC SRA Sangeet Sammelan and Young Maestro Music Conference, Kesar Bai Kerkar Sangeet Samaroh, Swar Mangesh Festival, Rajya Sangeet Academy Music Conference, Sangeet Natak Academy Concert, ICCR New Horizon Concert, Komal Nishad Sangeet Sammelan, Dinrang Festival, Sadguru Sangeet Sammelan, Punjab, Bishwa Banga Sammelan and many more.

 

Anol has toured USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, South Africa, and Bangladesh extensively to perform in different international concerts.

 

Anol Chatterjee is also a noted lyricist and music composer and Music Director. He is also equally accepted all over in
performing Light Classical Music, Bengali Semi Classical songs and Devotional songs as well.
 

Anol’s own YouTube channel has created a sensation among the Indian music learners all over the globe and is loved and
subscribed by more than 62,000 people.

 

As a Guru, Anol Chatterjee, is equally successful too. He has produced half a dozen of national scholars in the field of Hindustani Vocal Music who have already started performing all over.

He is doing an incredible job in spreading Indian Music
worldwide. The  online music classes and workshops which he organises regularly are most  popular and successful all over the world. Hundreds of aspiring  music  learners from at least 20 countries join these online activities  regularly. 

 

Anol is a senior instructor at Shrutinandan, an internationally
acclaimed Music Academy in Kolkata. His debut album “New
Signature” was inaugurated by the Tabla Maestro Ustad Zakir
Hussain. Pandit Ravishankar, the legendary Sitar exponent
expressed his faith about Anol's bright musical future.
